SERNATUR OFFERS EXCLUSIVE PROMOTIONS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN ORDER TO ALLOW THEM TO USE IT ON ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, TRIPS, ETC. THIS WILL BE VALID UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2013.
Santiago – The National Director of Sernatur, Javier Vergara, launched the new “Guía Joven Viajero”, which has more than 300 discounts. Vergara explained that “People from 15 to 35 years old represent almost 30% of the travelers of our country, and the idea is to offer them discounts in order to allow them to keep traveling along with the country in an easy and cheap way”.
This new promotion consists of an interactive guide, in which the tourist can easily Access to the website www.jovenviajero.cl. Vergara said that “through the website, people could plan their trips, look for discounts, and also, it shows a list of the main National Monuments, Parks, and important tourist areas”.
The guide includes 155 discounts that can be used in accommodation, 120 in tours, 20 in food, among others. The most remarkable offers are in the categories of food and accommodation, for instance, the Restaurant “Cumbres de Caburgua”, located in the Araucanía Region, offers a typical Chilean dish just for $3,200, and “Camping Barlovento”, which is located in Los Lagos Region, offers accommodations for just $2,400 per person, which includes water, light, and wifi. Moreover, the company “Naubitour” in Tarapacá Region offers a tour from the Iquique Bay to the Esmeralda Buoy.
To access the offers, travelers must go to the place, point out the offer that they want to obtain in “Descuento Joven Viajero” and show their Identity Card in order to prove that they are between the ages of 15 and 35 years old.
Finally, Javier Vergara invited young people to check the guide and use the discounts, saying that “With this new Guide created by Sernatur, they will enjoy the natural diversity that Chile offers. I hope that all the people interested can make use of the offers.”
