SANTIAGO — It seems as though Santiagoans are brunch neophytes, but they’re getting there. Here are some brunch locations worthy of your Mama’s time.
Coquinaria has two locations located at Alonso de Cordova 2437 in Vitacura and Isidora Goyenechea 3000 adjoined to the W Hotel in Las Condes. They have a regularly scheduled brunch occurring on weekends and holidays until 4 p.m. For CL$9.550 you will receive a fruit, yogurt, and granola parfait, a breakfast item selection with choices such as omelettes, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches, toast, and your choice of coffee or tea.
Coquinaria is also offering a special lunch and dinner Mother’s Day menu for CL$24,000. This prix fixe menu includes an antipasto appetizer, one choice of three entrees and choice of two desserts. A glass of champagne paired with your meal and a cup of tea or coffee is also included in the price.
The White Rabbit located at Antonia López de Bello 0118 in Providencia serves Sunday brunch from noon until 4 p.m. They advertise their brunch array as being “American classics”. Items on the menu include oysters on the half shell, prosciutto and melon, a variety of salads, Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, huevos rancheros, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, among many other choices. Also available are classic brunch drinks such as mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Sangria and other mixed drinks are available as well. All items are al a carte. Entrees range in price from CL$4,500 to CL$7,000.
The Ritz-Carlton located at Calle El Alcalde 15 in Las Condes near metro station El Golf, is serving a “Family Style” menu specially designed to be shared, with a minimum of two people. The special Mother’s Day brunch is from 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. and costs CL$35,000 per person and includes a wine pairing.
