Peaceful Warrior Dan Millman to Visit Chile
Successful athlete Dan Millman, author of the successful book “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior” will visit Chile to give a workshop on motivation and success. Among his biggest followers is Chilean Olympian Tomás González.
SANTIAGO — Millman will give a workshop on personal development at the Novotel Hotel in Vitacura. The eight-hour session will focus on self-improvement and getting the most out of your abilities to reach your goals.
Chilean Olympic gymnast Tomás González is among those who have benefited from the guidance of Millman. González first found out about Millman through the film “Peaceful Warrior”, an adaption of the book “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior”, starring Nick Nolte.
“In the year 2006 I saw the film and I really identified with the character, who is also a gymnast. It helped me in a key moment in my sporting career. I had a shoulder injury and couldn’t train. He helped me overcome the bad moments with a base of positive focus and making use of the power of the mind in each situation we live.
González has gone on to become a key figure in Chile’s sporting landscape, finishing with two fourth places at the London Olympics.
Millman overcame a serious injury to win the 1964 Trampolining World Championships. A motorbike accident left his right leg fractured in 17 parts.
The visit will be the Millman’s first time in Latin America. After Chile, his travels will continue, with various dates throughout Europe.
Among the sessions at Saturday’s workshops will be lessons on discovering your value, energizing your body, controlling your mind, accepting emotions and facing fear.
