This weekend an swarm of tattooed hooligans is expected descend upon the Centro Cultural GAM, where the first edition of the International Tattoo Festival will take place.
SANTIAGO — This unique event is expected to gather tattoo artists from over 30 countries in Santiago to share and promote their work. There will also be different activities including live performances, workshops, photography and aerography exhibitions.
Among the 140 people invited are inkers from Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, whose stands will be located on the -3 and -4 floors of GAM.

Visitors will have the possibility to meet some of the best tattoo artists in the world such as Sergio Leds and Juan Bonaro, get henna tattoos, buy some magazines, or just take a look at the Harley Davidson exhibition also on display.
Live concert located at plaza Zócalo are expected to please event the most pretentious ones with a diversity of styles from lounge and country, hip hop to rock and hardcore.
“There have been many festivals like this, but none of them with the same magnitude and multidisciplinary projection,” confessed the creator of the Festival Alejandro Banderas.
The Santiago International Tattoo Festival 2012 will take place on December 15 and 16 from 12 a.m. until 9 p.m. at GAM. Entrance for all the performances and workshops is free.
The Festival is organized by Multicolor Ink, and relies on the support and collaboration of SuperArte Producciones and Radio Futuro.
