Chile’s Fiestas Patrias in Washington, DC: The Official Guide

WASHINGTON, USA — It is no surprise that many Chileans plan their entire year around September, regardless of their geographical locations.
This year is no exception. Chileans residing in Washington, DC will have the opportunity to celebrate their Independence Day with their fellow nationals.
The Embassy of Chile in Washington released a list of the official Fiestas Patrias activities. I Love Chile spoke to Mr. Arturo Giadala, Consul at the Consulate of Chile, whom estimated that around 300 people are expected to attend the “Gran Fiesta Bailable” this coming Friday.
“The tickets are selling out fast, we encourage everyone to join us,” he said.
Mr. Giadala mentioned that many Chileans established in the United States have been here for over 20 years and gathering for this occasion is essential.
“It’s fills us with joy to organize and be able to come together as a community to celebrate Fiestas Patrias which are so important to us,” said Mr. Giadala.
