SANTIAGO – The squad that La Roja will take to the World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Venezuela has been announced, with a mix of players based both in Chile and in the foreign leagues. The midfield is strengthened by Arturo Vidal, who returns to the national side after being pardoned from suspension.Despite the struggles of Colo Colo this season, the experienced Pablo Contreras is part of the squad of defenders.

Six players from league leaders Universidad de Chile have been included in the squad. Coach Claudio Borghi will keep in mind their struggles at altitude in Ecuador in the 4-1 Copa Libertadores loss.
