Ricardo Arjona Plays Movistar Arena This Week
Guatemalan singer/songwriter and heart throb Ricardo Arjona is in Chile.
SANTIAGO — Ricardo Arjona will present four concerts in Santiago’s Movistar Arena as part of his ”Metamorphosis World Tour 2012″. Arjona will perform his latest album, ‘Independiente’, alongside a selection of his greatest hits, including ‘Desnuda’, ‘Acompáñame a estar solo’, ‘Tarde (sin daños a terceros)’, ‘Si el norte fuera el sur’, and ‘El problema’, among many others.
The two-and-a-half hour show will take place on a revolving stage, allowing Arjona to perform in different settings, including a bar, a theater and a circus, according to reports from Argentine newspaper Clarín.
The paper praised Arjona’s great rapport with his largely female audience following a two-year absence from Argentina. This surely bodes well for his return to Chile.
When Arjona performed his last tour Chile, he played four packed shows at the Movistar arena as well as sold-out shows in Iquique and Concepción. He also performed at the 2010 Viña del Mar music festival. It is thus no wonder that he extended his original two-day show at the Movistar arena to a four-day show.
The performance will include the use of an extensive set of lights and video screens, upon which the videos and lyrics of the 21 songs to be performed will be shown. Even those fans who haven’t learned all of Arjona’s lyrics will be able to sing along anyway.
Tickets for this Arjona spectacle are still available from www.puntoticket.com, with prices ranging from $13,700 to $228,000 CLP, depending on the day and the area of the stadium. He will play the Movistar Arena Thursday the 19th, Friday the 20th, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of April.
More information about the Santiago show, as well as upcoming tour dates and other information can be found at Arjona’s website.
